But, this book is designed for the programmers who atleast have some experience of using a modern any of the high-level programming language. C isn’t really appropriate for complete beginners to start with, though many of us have managed to use it, so the anthers of the book is assuming that its readers have already done some battle with the notions of statements, variables, conditional execution, arrays, procedures (or subroutines) etc. Instead of wasting Reader's time by ploughing through tedious descriptions of how to add two numbers together and explaining that the symbol for multiplication is *, the book concentrates on the things that are special to C. In particular, it’s the way that C is used which is emphasized. This book is best for them who like to get advanced in Computer programming using c language, this will also be available as online computer programming course, for details regrading this please download this book and check it..

Main Contents are:-

An Introduction to C

Variables and Arithmetic

Control of Flow and Logical Expressions

Functions

Arrays and Pointers

Structured Data Types

The Preprocessor

Specialized Areas of C

Libraries

Complete Programs in C

Answers to Exercises

Read an extract from the preface below and view it here. This technique may be relevant for those working with the Acrobat SDK as this also uses ANSI-C and an object orientated approach.

Object-oriented programming is the current cure-all - although it has been around for much more then ten years. At the core, there is little more to it then finally applying the good programming principles which we have been taught for more then twenty years. C++ (Eiffel, Oberon-2, Smalltalk ... take your pick) is the New Language because it is object-oriented - although you need not use it that way if you do not want to (or know how to), and it turns out that you can do just as well with plain ANSI-C. Only object-orientation permits code reuse between projects ? although the idea of subroutines is as old as computers and good programmers always carried their toolkits and libraries with them.

This book is not going to praise object-oriented programming or condemn the Old Way. We are simply going to use ANSI-C to discover how object-oriented programming is done, what its techniques are, why they help us solve bigger problems, and how we harness generality and program to catch mistakes earlier. Along the way we encounter all the jargon - classes, inheritance, instances, linkage, methods, objects, polymorphisms, and more - but we take it out of the realm of magic and see how it translates into the things we have known and done all along.

    download link

Thinking in Java

Bruce Eckel has provided us with another amazing work of his. It's got just the right balance between code and discussion, and the exercises are good. I've done all of them to the end of Ch. 10, and I feel like I'm making good progress with Java."
Phil Wall, TeX Programmer, Wolfram Research, Inc.

I wish I had this book when I started programming. I recommend this book to every student as well as beginner and intermediate Java programmer. This book would also serve as a guide to those who would wish to write the Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) certification exam. It also introduces design patterns and testing which is really good since we see programmers writing 100’s of lines of code with no design pattern being used or a single test case being written often. Machine organization is not computer architecture. It is a small subset of computer architecture. The book is in beta form and comprises two volumes. Volume 1 was completed on January 13, 2000. The current version is TIC2V and Volume 1 will be published by Prentice Hall around March 1, 2000. Volume 2, last updated on September 20, will be published in late 2000.

Bruce says, "This is a beta version of the book. Some of it is in a very early form. You can probably get a pretty good idea which parts are rough, and which ones are supposed to be polished."

These PDFs have full bookmarks, and hyperlinks created using PDF Maker from Bruce's Word97 source files. If you would like to download the full RTF source or comment on Bruce's book then you can jump straight to Bruce's site Here's what some readers have said about "Thinking in C++" (On Usenet) Unlike most other C++ authors, Eckel has made a career of teaching C++ and Java classes ONLY. He's had the benefit of a GREAT deal of novice feedback, and the books reflect that. His books are not just about writing in C++/Java, but understanding the intent of the languages and the mindset that goes with thinking in them. Eckel's also the best technical writer I've read since Jeff Duntemann. Very clear and easy to read. Don't be put off by the apparent large size of his books. Either can be read in *less* than 21 days. :-}Randy Crawford, MRJ Technology Solutions, Fairfax VA
When I first started learning C++, your book "Thinking in C++" was my shining guide light in a dark tunnel. It has been my endeavor to improve my C++ skills whenever possible, and to that affect, "Thinking in C++" has given me the strong foundation for my continuous improvement. Peter Tran, Senior Systems Analyst (IM), Compaq Computer Corporation
On our project at HRB Systems we call your book "The Answer Book". it is not a rehash of the documentation.
Already using Qt or just starting out? Evaluating Qt or managing it? Building open source applications–or commercial applications? Want to develop for Windows without buying an expensive compiler? The author moves beyond the pure syntax covered in existing books, to guide readers step-by-step through a cohesive presentation of the basics of C#.
Once the basics are understood, he shows the reader how to apply this knowledge to real-world Windows programming tasks using C#.
Each chapter contains exercises that reinforce the lessons learned. Tips, Notes, and Cautions provide additional advice from the authors on how to get up to speed and programming quickly with C#.
Sidebars provide the more experienced reader with tips that will ease their migration from Visual Basic 6 and Visual C++ to C#.
The book is excellent for beginners who have never seen an IDE before. The author uses the term C# where he should use the term "Visual Studio .NET" instead. C# is a programming language. For instance, the second chapter is titled "Navigating C#" but he really talks about navigating the IDE. I suspect a search-replace of C# to VB.NET you could convert it into a VB.NET book.
(of course with a bit more than that).
I was looking for a book to quickly learn the LANGUAGE C#, not a study of Visual Studio .NET, which takes all of about 1 hour or less for an experienced software developer to learn. If the title were changed to "Teach Yourself Visual Studio.NET in 24 hours", I'd give it 5 stars.
Bottom line, if you are a C++ or Java software engineer who wants to come up to speed on C#, this is not the book for you.

Chapters include:

Hour 1. A C# Programming Tour

Hour 2. Navigating C#

Hour 3. Understanding Objects and Collections

Hour 4. Understanding Events

Hour 5. Building Forms Part I

Hour 6. Building Forms Part II

Hour 7. Working with the Traditional Controls

Hour 8. Advanced Controls

Hour 9. Adding Menus and Toolbars to Forms

Hour 10. Drawing and Printing

Hour 11. Creating and Calling Methods

Hour 12. Using Constants, Data Types, Variables, and Arrays

Hour 13. Performing Arithmetic, String Manipulation, and Date/Time Adjustments

Hour 14. Making Decisions in C# Code

Hour 15. Looping for Efficiency

Hour 16. Debugging Your Code

Hour 17. Designing Objects Using Classes

Hour 18.
